I have worn Rockport Prowalkers for 20+ years.I ordered then online because it is difficult to find any wide sizes anywhere near my home. The shoe arrived and the first thing I noticed was that they felt 'lighter' than usual. Not a big deal, right? I wore them 3 times. While wearing them the third time, I needed to tie my left shoe. When I pulled the string to tighten and tie them, the top let eyelet ripped, ruining the shoe. These shoes only have slits for the laces...no reinforcing at all. A very poor design for a pair of shoes costing $70 I sent them back for a refund and will never purchase Rockports again!

I bought these to replace an old pair of the same size that I had used on and off for years, mainly on a treadmill. The new ones are not as good as the old ones in terms of padding, especially of the foot bed. One of the eyelet holes of the old pair had torn out, so that's why I bought these. I'll keep the old ones around for wading shoes and wear thicker socks when I walk the treadmill with the new ones. I doubt that I will replace the new ones with another Rockport Pro Walker pair when they wear out, because it seems to me that the Rockport brand does not stand for the same high level of walking comfort that it once did.
