I'm disappointed in these shoes, my first Rockports. The primary reason is the lack of cushioning in the inner soles. This was hard on my feet almost immediately. A five-hour work shift left them sore. The next day I tried cushioning inserts, and that made the shoes usable, but it also made them tight-fitting. Coupled with the artificial uppers, the feet were uncomfortable. I have since bought a better shoe, and this will be my back-up pair. But I have learned that the name Rockport does not necessarily guarantee getting the right shoe.
