I bought it mainly for the understated look & understated tread (most sneaker treads just traffic too much dirt). However, its not as comfortable to walk in as they used to be when I had many years ago. Update 11/2016: Front end of sneaker has not warn well at all and I only wear them on weekends. The leather is super thin and has warn all the way through to the next layer which does not look like leather. Much thinner than those I bought many years ago. On top of that, the price is now up to $79 for size 9.5 (that is a rip-off of huge proportions when you consider the fact that they don't last). P.S. My Doctor Recommends Reebok with DMX Technology, which is much more reasonably priced, but I hate the overstated tread (along with overstated tread of more reasonably priced Rockport shoes). Update 3/2017, decided to give Reebok Men's Club C 85 Fashion Sneaker a try which also has understated tread (not as nice looking as M7100, but much more affordable).

Every detail in the description of these shoes is wrong. I've never worn a pair of shoes that make my feet hurt as much as these. After the first day of wearing these my feet were in agony. I figured that maybe they need to be broken in. Wrong. I suffered through a week before realizing that things would not get better. I am returning these.

Shoe strings are too short...barely enough to tie .Need more width.

I own a landscape business and walk 10-13 miles a day during the summer season. Over the years I have tried many different brands but the Asics over all have proven to be consistently better quality than over shoes in the same price range. The fit has always been good too. Not every pair I have had has been equal in durability as I did have one pair where the glue failed in places, but I don't really mess with other brands now as these are good shoes. I use them for the gym, and everyday life as well.

These are comfortable and easy-to-wear walking trainers that I wore on a 3 day and 50 mile walk and several training walks before that. My walk was both cross-country & along roads/canal paths and stood up to both very well. Surprisingly for a British Summer it was dry, and there wasn't enough rain and mud to test the water/weatherproofing.

The only problem I had with them was that the insole moved around LOADS. It kept slipping to the back of the shoe and working its way up the heel which was infuriating. I thought it might settle down, but ended up having to gaffer tape it into place. If you have your own preferred insole, wear those instead, otherwise it might be prudent to stick them down before setting off on your maiden voyage!

I bought these shoes for £15 which was a bargain, but I'd definitely consider paying a bit more for them if I needed a new pair.
