I wear pair after pair of these, year after year. That's because they fit well and they are comfortable. The finish doesn't necessarily wear well - where one shoe chronically rubs against the other (due to the way I walk) the black finish wears off. It seems the black finish is -very- thin. Underneath it, the material is light gray, and it does not take a polish like the finished surface. I've had shoeshine people try to cover this over with magic marker (!!!), extra dye, more polish, etc. But once that finish is worn off, it's never going to go back to looking new. Still, overall the materials are sturdy and they last very well, long after I wear down the sols.

I have been wearing Rockport walking shoes for more than 10 years. These shoes do not come in different sizes. Initially I ordered the wide shoes and they were too small. I then ordered the XW shoes expecting that they would fit. However, they were also too small. When I compared the XW shoes to the W shoes, the XW shoes were actually 1/8 inch narrower than the W shoes. I even double checked the label to make sure I did get them mixed up. I am very disappointed with the sizing on these shoes.

I've worn Rockport Pro Walker shoes for decades, and they still fit properly and feel great. Like everything else in the world, the quality has deteriorated, with thinner and lighter upper materials every year. But they fit, and the inner liner gives good support to my feet. I've read several reviews where wrong size was sent or size wasn't consistent, but I had no problems.

I am delighted to discover that Rockport makes narrow shoes for men. It is one of the few companies to make them and sell them for reasonable prices. I wish I had known about them sooner. It's been years since I have had such comfortable shoes.

I have had some these before so I can highly recommend them. They are great for those knee and back aches that you get from long periods of standing on concrete floors. The other thing I liked is the quality. The ones I had before lasted over 10 years. Again, I would highly recommend Rockports

They are worth the price. The soles are a bit stiff and probably will not last more than 3 years.
